About Me

about pic

When I started school at the local community college, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Everything I was good at held little promise of reaping huge career rewards. I explored scientific and mathematic avenues, even dabbled for a short time in philosophy. What I excelled in the most, and what always appealed to me was a path in the creative field.

I graduated with my Associate degree, and went on to be further immersed in the design world by continuing my education at the Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids. This is where I discovered the internet, and all the possibilities of web design.

My career started with designing graphics for television broadcasts. I accepted a job with a website called Alloutdoors.com that became part of the "dot-com fall". I worked at several small start-ups, then finally landed a job as Design Supervisor at Detroit Newspapers Partnership, which manages the business operations of the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News.

As Design Supervisor, I oversee a team of web designers and work with our talented programming staff to develop websites for the partnership. Please see my resume for more information.
